Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday was such a wonderful party. Great decorations, food and lots of people joined us for Fat Tuesday.  Once we got the electrial problem solved, there was plent of food, and of course we didn't serve any meat.  Everyone went home with beads and full stomachs.  Fun was had my all.

Mark your calendars for March 1st at 6 pm, it is our Tour of Ireland.  We have all kinds of surprises planned for our next big event.  Just think for the low price of $10 you get dinner and some entertainment, that's cheaper than dinner and a movie.  Sign up today for this great event, we look forward to seeing all our old friends and lots of new ones.

Last Tuesday night we had a great time at our "Shrove/Fat Tuesday".  We would like to give a special thanks to all who participated and helped in any way.

This week's activities are:

Monday, Feb. 18th - - - closed for President's Day.

Tuesday, Feb. 19th - - - 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. is cross stitiching and embroidery.  "Dancing Through The Ages" is 5 to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 20th - - - Knitting and crocheting is 10 to 2.
"Happy Feet" is at 12:30 p.m.  Arthritis Class at 1:30 p.m. and Barbara's Tatting class is at 5 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 21st - - - Game Day.  Pinochle at 10 a.m.; dominoes and more pinochle at 12:30 a.m.  "Dancing Through The Ages" is 5 to 6 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 22nd - - - Puzzles and games at 10 a.m.  Potluck lunch at 11:30 a.m. with bingo following right after lunch at 12:30.

Lunch is everyday at 11:30 for the cost of $3.00.

Tuesday, February 12th at 6 p.m. is Shrove (Fat) Tuesday

     We will be celebrating the last day of Mardi Gras and the day before Ash Wednesday by having an all-you-can-eat pancake, waffles, and crepes dinner.  There will be lots of good and different toppings and especially lots of good company.  Come and join us.  Cost is $5.00 a person or $20.00 for a family. 

Tuesday morning:  We are having a sewing bee from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a cross stitching and embroidery class from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesday, February 13th:

     Classes are:  Knitting and Crocheting 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
                          Basic Quilt Block 12:30 p.m.
                          Arthritis 1:30 p.m.
                          Tatting 5 p.m.
                          Cardmaking 5 to 7 p.m.

Thursday, February 14th:

                          Pinochle 10 a.m.
                          Valentine's lunch 11:30 a.m.
                          More Games 12:30 p.m.
                          "Dancing Through the Ages" 5-6 p.m.

Friday, February 15th:
  
                          Puzzles and Games 10 a.m.
                          Lunch Bunch 11:30 a.m. - - - Meet at the Clubhouse and we will decide where to go.
                          Paper Extravaganza 2 p.m.

Clubhouse Rentals

Did you know that The Clubhouse is available for rentals for special occasions?  For a small fee you can hold your next bridal, baby shower, birthday or reunion at The Clubhouse.

You can decorate according to your celebration, we have a kitchen area, tables and chairs, and plenty of free parking.

Events this week include a Wood Turning Demo, Sewing Bee, Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday), Knitting and Crocheting, Counted Cross Stitch, Card Making, Tatting,  Basic Quilt Blocks and Dancing through the Ages.  A calendar is available at The Clubhouse, come check out all our new classes.

There is also a trip to Wendover planned for March 7th, come in and sign up now, the bus fills up quickly, first come first go!

Toe Ticklers At Work

The Clubhouse is happy to work with the ladies at Toe Ticklers.  They offer a foot soak, toenal cutting and massage for $15 on the first Wednesday of each month at 9 am.  They have over 33 years experience in nursing and are the greatest aides in the world.  We have a great time and you can drop in at the Clubhouse or make any appointment by calling Jeanne at 801-645-4111.

July Calendar

It doesn't seem possibe but July is just around the corner.  We have some really fun events planned for July, her is a copy of the schedule and some highlights of upcoming events.

Don't forget tomorrow evening we are having a fund raiser with a Tupperware Sale.  Join us at 6pm, there will also be light refreshments.

This weekend is our annual Yard Sale, Friday we will be open from 9 am to 2 pm and Saturday from 8am to 2pm.  The sale is indoors where it will be cool so you can check out all the bargains.  Thanks to everyone that has donated products. 

July 6th is our Tour of the USA and will be at 6pm at Deanie and Fred's #139 in the Monte Vista Mobilhome Park.  We still have a few seats left, call and make your reservations, you don't want to miss out on this great event.  The cost is $10 per person which includes dinner and entertainment, that's cheaper than a movie and popcorn and alot more fun.
