July Calendar

It doesn't seem possibe but July is just around the corner.  We have some really fun events planned for July, her is a copy of the schedule and some highlights of upcoming events.

Don't forget tomorrow evening we are having a fund raiser with a Tupperware Sale.  Join us at 6pm, there will also be light refreshments.

This weekend is our annual Yard Sale, Friday we will be open from 9 am to 2 pm and Saturday from 8am to 2pm.  The sale is indoors where it will be cool so you can check out all the bargains.  Thanks to everyone that has donated products. 

July 6th is our Tour of the USA and will be at 6pm at Deanie and Fred's #139 in the Monte Vista Mobilhome Park.  We still have a few seats left, call and make your reservations, you don't want to miss out on this great event.  The cost is $10 per person which includes dinner and entertainment, that's cheaper than a movie and popcorn and alot more fun.

June Calendar

We are going to try and post the June Calendar.  Let me know if this will post.  One update is that the Paper Extravaganza will be from 2 PM to 6PM.  There will be four projects, the cost is $5 for all supplies.  Come by and sign up so we will have enough kits.

The Wendover Trip is $20 and the bus leaves at 9 am, you need to contact Kathy as soon as possible, there are only a few seats available. 

Our monthly Paper Extravaganza is Friday at 2pm until 8pm.  We will be making 3 different cards,
a can full of candy and a notebook that can be used as a journal. 
                              

You will be able to personalize your notebook, using different papers and adding embellishments.  The journal can be used for a personal journal, a gratitude journal, food journal, or notebook for upcoming events.  These journals make wonderful gifts for graduation, birthday gifts any occasion.

     Saturday 4/14 -- Come learn how to make Cheese, we have a renowned  Cheese making coming to share his knowledge, the space is limited so sign up as soon as possible.  There is a $20 fee for this class, but is well worth the fee.  If you need more information about this class call 801-392-0520.

Don't forget about our trip toWendover on April 19th at 9 am, tickets are $20, come by and sign up now, the bus if filling fast. 

May's calendar for classes will be out around the middle of April so you will have the opportunity to see what new things are coming up at The Clubhouse. 

We are always looking for new members to join us, pass on all the information so that we can be a successful  group of adults and seniors.  Membership is only $15 a month and this gives you the opportunity to enjoy classes and special events. 

April in Paris

Our April in Paris event was such fun and we were filled to capacity.

Here are a few pictures of the event.

The Eiffel Tower was at the entrance to welcome all our guest to the room full of Paris pictures, and other items representing France.

The Clubhouse had spring flowers hanging from the ceiling and each table had an Eiffel Tower.

The hostess with the mostest wore Berets for the ocassion.

We had French food of Crepes, Quiche, Baggetts with Cheese, red and white wine (faux) and cream puffs for desert.

After dinner we played games, sang songs and even learned some interesting facts about the country of France. 

Our next journey will take us to the country of Mexico, sign up early as our space is limited.

Our Tour of Japan

Dutch Oven Class

Mark your calendar right the minute for our exciting Dutch Oven Class on Saturday March 10th at 10am.  This is going to be some much fun to learn about dutch oven cooking and even taste samples.  There is a small fee of $5 but will be so worth the cost.  Sign up at The Clubhouse now or give Kathy a call at 801-392-0520 to register for this fantastic class.

As promised here are pictures of our Grand Re-Opening. 

Maxine is telling everyone about the Personal History Class.

Moving and seating area, come and relax and enjoy taking with friends.

Come help us tie a quilt, which once finished is donated to the community.

Karla took pictures of everyone with special hats, can't wait to see all the loveley ladies.

Everyone enjoyed getting acquainted and tour our new facility.

Cards were made in our craft room and everyone was able to take one home.

What a Winner!

Yesterday was a winner!  The Clubhouse re-opened officially and it was a wonderful success.  We got to see some old friends and make lots of new friends.  We were so excited about sharing this wonderful community of adults with so many new and old friends.

If you did were not able to make it to our celebration, you can still come by anytime and take a tour of the facility.  The Clubhouse is open daily Monday - Friday 10 am to 2 pm, and we serve lunch at 11:30 am.  We ask that you call the day before for reservations for lunch.  There will be a menu available for the week also.  Tuesdays are Kentucky Fried Chicken Day, and the cost for lunches are only $3.

Thurday March 1st John will be offering Computer classes at 10am, and it is also Game Day, come play board games or cards. 

Friday March 2nd at 10 am it is Tone-Up Exercise.  And we will take our first Tour of the World to o Japan!!  The cost for the tour is $5 per person, we will have food and a program to highlight Japan.

Today is the Day

All the hard work that has been done is now ready for everyone to enjoy.  Make sure you stop by The Clubhouse today and see all the wonderful things that we have to offer. 

We will have drawings for door prizes through out the day and we are all anxious to share our serves to Seniors and Adults in the community. 

Ask about our free lunch on Thursdays and come join us for all types of games. 

Bring your friends and neighbors for an enjoyable afternoon.  See you on Friday February 24th from 10am to 4pm.

Two Days

The Clubhouse is coming on strong and we have been working really hard to get everything ready for the Open House. 

We look forward to showing everyone what we have to offer.  We will be at The Clubhouse on Friday February 24th from 10 am to 4 pm.  Light refreshments will be served and you will have the opportunity to make a greeting card at no charge. 

Our March calendar is also available and you will be able to see projects and talk with instructors. 

Our International Tour will start in Japan on March 2nd at 6 pm, come learn about this enchanted country. 

Bring all you friends and introduce them to our community of adults and seniors that are young at heart.

Only 3 Days

It doesn't seem possible, but in only 3 days The Clubhouse will have it's Grand Re-Opening.  Everyone has been working hard to make this an incredible event. 

Mark you calendar right now and come join us for a tour of our new building and learn about what The Clubhouse has to offer to adults and senior citizens.  We will be open on February 24, 2012 from 10 AM - 4 PM, we are located at 1821 W. 4000 South Suite 600. 

March is overflowing with classes, special events, and professionals will be available to increase our knowledge about relevant issues in our lives.  This is only the beginning, we have great events planned for the entire year.

Welcome to the Clubhouse blog.
